We’re Going Premium (But Hear Us Out) – Letsfind’s New Monthly Plan

TL;DR: We’re launching a premium plan for $3/month, but Letsfind stays free forever. Here’s why we had to do this and why it’s actually good news.

The Real Tea: Why We Built Letsfind in the First Place

Almost 5 years ago, we had a simple problem that probably sounds familiar: existing poll tools were straight-up terrible. Like, genuinely awful. Picture this – you just want to find a date that works for your friend group’s dinner, but instead you’re bombarded with:

  • Ads everywhere (seriously, more ads than actual poll)
  • Interfaces that look like they were designed in 2000
  • Zero respect for your privacy (yikes)
  • Features so complicated you need a PhD to create a basic poll

So we said “nah, we can do better” and built Letsfind. Our mission was simple: create a polling tool that’s actually usable, completely ad-free, modern, and respects your privacy. Revolutionary concepts, apparently.

The Plot Twist: Free Isn’t Actually Free

Here’s where things get real. We’ve always been proud that Letsfind is completely free – no ads, no hidden costs, and you don’t even need to sign up for most features. That’s still true, and it always will be.

But (and this is a big but), running a web app isn’t free. While I (Samuel) happily develop new features in my spare time without charging anything, the servers and infrastructure send us bills every single month. Rude, honestly.

We initially tried a donation-based approach – everyone gives what they think it’s worth, and if you don’t want to give anything, that’s absolutely fine too. The issue? Donations only covered 0.06% of our operating costs. This number makes it painfully clear why we’ve decided to introduce a premium plan, especially considering that new features like live polls put additional demands on our infrastructure, meaning costs are likely to increase rather than decrease in the future.

Why Premium Makes Sense (Even for a Free Tool)

With costs rising and a clear need to ensure Letsfind’s long-term sustainability, we decided to create a premium tier that keeps everything running smoothly while staying true to our core values.

No matter what happens, we’ll never clutter your polls with ads. That’s a pinky promise.

2. Free Version = Forever Free

There will always be a completely free version of Letsfind. No registration required for basic features, no “free trial” nonsense.

3. Core Features Stay Free Always

Everything you love about Letsfind today stays free forever. We won’t hold your favorite features hostage behind a paywall. Premium gets you extra goodies, not basic functionality.

$3/Month: The Price of a single chicken nugget

Why $3? Because we’re not trying to get rich here. We could charge $30/month like some other tools (looking at you, enterprise software), but that’s not the vibe.

$3 is literally less than:

  • A small bottle of water at a restaurant
  • A fancy chocolate bar at the train station
  • 15 minutes of parking (depending on the city)
  • A pencil on eBay (shipping not included)

The barrier should be low enough that supporting Letsfind feels like a no-brainer, not a budget decision.

We’re still finalizing all the premium features, but think of it as supporting the platform while getting some nice-to-have extras. The core polling experience everyone loves? That stays exactly the same for free users.
