Letsfind Easter Eggs you didn’t know existed

Easter Eggs are fun. Hidden deep within the code of a website or application. They’re just fun. We’re developers because we love to develop “things”. Sometimes “things” no one asked us to create. Since Letsfind shouldn’t just be fun to use but also fun to develop, we couldn’t help but to implement a great amount of Easter Eggs within Letsfind. Today we share 3 of them.

You may ask: Why share them, aren’t they supposed to be found by the users? Yes, you’re 100% right. But since we work every day to improve Letsfind, there might be a day sooner or later where some or even all of the 3 Easter Eggs shared here today will be removed. With that being said, go check them out before their gone…

The Earthquake

In 2020, right before we had the idea for Letsfind, we were in Iceland and we encountered thousands of earthquakes. Some with a magnitude as high as M5 (Fagradalsfjall errupted a year later in 2021). As some kind of homage, so to speak, we integrated this Easter Egg into Letsfind.

Steps to reproduce this Easter Egg:

  1. Create a new poll
  2. Add some suggestions (optional but recommended)
  3. Change the poll title to “earthquake”

The Fourth Language #slanglang

Why so serious? Letsfind isn’t made for businesses or “the older generation”. The idea behind Letsfind was to improve the communication between friends and make it easier to find a date. When you text with friends you’re not using formal language. You probably use simple words combined with some slang (at least we do). Letsfind is made for you. For everyday use. Nothing formal about it. Why not being a little extra and adding a forth language?

Steps to reproduce this Easter Egg:

  1. Open the language switcher
  2. Triple-click with your mouse into the white-space
  3. The forth language appears
  4. Select the language “YTH”
  5. Use Letsfind normally

Frequently Asked Questions
